Invitation from Host, Wings of Hope Wildlife Sanctuary

Wings of Hope Wildlife Sanctuary is honored to host the National Wildlife Rehabilitators Association Symposium 2012! We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to bayou country for an extraordinary week with fellow rehabilitators!

Wings of Hope is a small center dedicated to the professional treatment and care for native wild bird and mammal species that are injured, orphaned, or otherwise unable to care for themselves. Our two staff and ten volunteers are trained to provide professional care to wildlife in preparation for return to the wild. We treat around 400 animals per year.

Wings of Hope is a wildlife rehabilitation center first and foremost. We also present educational programs to about 3,000 people per year, and we have several permanent residents for that purpose. Public presentations dispel myths and provide the audience with natural history and knowledge of animals presented in the program. We teach that wildlife should be viewed from afar, respected, and allowed to survive in their native habitat.

Wings of Hope Wildlife Sanctuary is a 501c3 nonprofit organization operating only on the donations from concerned citizens.
