Dates to Mark on Your 2012 Calendar

Tuesday, March 13

  • Attend a full day pre-conference seminar or join a fun field trip.
  • Pick up your attendee information packet and program book at the registration table.
  • New members and first time attendees are invited to the Meet & Greet to get acquainted.
  • Workshop sign-up opens for those not pre-registered by mail.
  • See old friends and make new ones during the evening Icebreaker Social. Kick back and relax!

Wednesday through Saturday, March 14–17

  • Sessions, papers, discussion groups, and hands-on skills workshops are all day Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and until 4:00 pm on Saturday.
  • Concurrent sessions provide abundant choices.
  • Roundtables may be scheduled some evenings.
  • The Banquet is Friday evening.

Symposium Registration 

The Symposium Registration Brochure with details and registration form is available in November. The registration fee covers the full four days of sessions. Pre-conference seminars, field trips, workshops, and the Banquet have separate fees paid by those who choose to attend each. Registration discounts are available for NWRA members and students.

Lodging

The Crowne Plaza in Baton Rouge offers a special Symposium room rate of $106/night (plus tax) for one or two people per room. The registration brochure will have more details. Share a room to cut your cost. NWRA offers a roommate match-up option with registration. Within walking distance are retail stores, a grocery store, and many restaurants to provide variety during the week.

Transportation

Airport shuttle (Baton Rouge airport) to the Crowne Plaza is around $8. Sharing a taxi may reduce your costs. To explore options, check the Internet or ask a travel agent for alternative travel methods and schedules.
