West Coast Brown Pelicans Contaminated with Fish Oil

Although a number of birds have died, over 70 young brown pelicans are now in care and at least 50 more have been identified in need of assistance along the North Coast. Part of the problem is fish waste bins left open and draining at the harbor’s fish cleaning station and individuals purposefully feeding the pelicans material from the bins.
