Wildlife Rehabilitation Volunteer

NLWS is looking for volunteers to join our team in taking care of injured and/or orphaned wildlife. Work involves daily feeding, cleaning in general care of juvenile mammals in the shelter. It also includes capture and release of wildlife depending on time of year. Only long term volunteers (6 month or longer) will be working with the bear projects

Qualifications:

Successful candidates will have some experience in large animal care, such as farm, sanctuaries, zoo or rehabilitation work.

NLWS offers free room and board to all volunteers

Comments:

Wildlife rehabilitation work with large mammals differs significantly from work at other places, as one of the key components of success is minimal animal contact, applicants should be sure that they are comfortable with that concept before applying.

2-12 month positions available
