Join OWRA at the Cherry Valley Lodge in Newark, OH for this once a year opportunity to improve your knowledge and skills, network with other wildlife rehabilitators, and have fun in the process! The conference will have over 27 presentations, including 6 pre-conference workshops, an ice-breaker reception on Friday, and much more!

This year’s OWRA Conference will feature professional expertise from veterinarians Dr. Kim Cook, DVM (Akron Zoo), Dr. Lynn Dunlap, DVM (North Ridge Veterinary Hospital), Dr. Sarah Reich, DVM (University of Illinois) and Dr. Gary Riggs, DVM (North Coast Bird & Exotic Specialty Hospital). The speaker lineup will also highlight Ohio rehabilitators and educators with a range of topics from general care and species-specific instruction to administrative and educational sessions. The program will offer something for everyone, whether you are new to wildlife rehabilitation or are looking to update and refresh your skills.

Our Banquet Speaker will be Harry Peachey, owner and operator of Conservation Messaging and former Curator of Mainland Asia and Elephant Manager of the Columbus Zoo & Aquarium.  Harry will deliver a presentation that focuses on the illegal wildlife trade, in particular the global trade and it's impact on wild populations of elephants, tigers and pangolins.  Our keynote address will be given by Dale Gnidovec, Curator at the Orton Museum.  Dale's passion for paleontology will grab our attention with his presentation about "Teeth, Jaws & Claws: Why are Birds Really Carnivorous Dinosaurs".

PRIORITY REGISTRATION - All OWRA members will receive priority registration in any of our pre-conference workshops through September 30th.
