The Alma Natura Trust International Scholarship is given to enhance the education of wildlife rehabilitators. One scholarship is awarded to help defray expenses of attending the NWRA Symposium. This scholarship is given through NWRA by two NWRA members who wish to support education and training of rehabilitators from abroad.

Applicants may reside anywhere on the globe except Canada, United States, and Mexico. Residents of those countries, please apply for the Alma Natura Trust North American Region Scholarship. Preference is given to candidates from developing countries.

Completely fill out the application form (in English please) and include two signed letters of recommendation. If sending signed recommendation letters separately, please include the name of the scholarship applicant with each letter.

The application deadline is October 1 and the recipient is notified by January 1. The award is announced and presented at the Symposium. A symposium attendance scholarship recipient is expected to attend at least three (3) full days of the symposium. NWRA reserves the right to withhold scholarship fund disbursement if attendance requirement is not fulfilled.

Scholarship recipients are asked to write a paragraph or two for the NWRA newsletter summarizing their symposium experiences due to receiving the scholarship.

I understand that I am requested to write a paragraph or two summarizing how this scholarship has affected my rehabilitation, and that it may be published in part or in its entirety in NWRA materials.
