Scholarship rules and information

Before applying for any NWRA scholarship please read the following rules and information below. If you have further questions please contact us through the NWRA website, here

2. Recipients are asked to send a recent head-shot photograph which NWRA may use in a PowerPoint during the annual member meeting during the symposium (optional). Image may also be used on social media and for other marketing needs. Send to NWRA by February 1.

3. Symposium attendance scholarship money is presented during the symposium; wildlife housing and educational materials scholarships are generally sent to recipients during January/February.

4. Individuals may apply for as many scholarships as they like.

5. Only one scholarship is awarded per person in any given year.

6. Preference is given to applicants not receiving a scholarship from NWRA in the last year or two.

8. For symposium attendance scholarships:

  • Recipients are expected to attend at least three full days of the symposium (may include pre-conference seminar). NWRA reserves the right to withhold scholarship fund disbursement if attendance requirement is not fulfilled.

  • Recipients are responsible for registering in a timely manner to obtain a seat in any limited enrollment seminars and workshops they may wish to attend (available on a first-come, first-serve basis).

  • Recipients must pick up award checks during the Friday lunch break near the NWRA sales table. Please bring your valid photo ID.
